N. Vijay Siva, is a musician presenting an innovative approach to music. He was born on 29th March, 1967 to Sri. A. N. Siva and Smt. Akhila Siva. Vijay Siva completed his schooling in Chennai, Padma Seshadri Sr. Secondary school. He acquired his graduation from Vivekananda College, Chennai with a first class and from Madurai Kamaraj University acquired a masters degree in commerce.

At a small age of four, Vijay Siva showed a rare intuitive capacity to recognize ragas. His bhakthi towards music was also recognized at a young age. This was immediately acknowledged by his mother. Vijay Siva has his initial training from Akhila Siva, his mother and later from D K Jayaraman. He also plays the mridangam very well and holds a respectable, B. High AIR grade. He acquired his training from Sri Rajappa Iyer, Kumbakonam. He also received vocal music guidance from Smt. D. K. Pattammal. He is also one of the Youth Asscociation for Classical Music founder secretaries.

Vijay Siva gave numerous concerts in many places in India and also participated in the Sangeet Natak Academy, the Music Festivals, as a Mridangist at Bhubhaneshwar and as a vocalist in Chennai.

Accolades:
He secured over hundreds of prizes for Mridangam and music. This series includes the prizes for Trichuvachakam, Thevaram and Thirupugazh in 1974. The Government of India Cultural Scholarship award for vocal music from 1979 to 1987. In 1981, the Rajaji Tamboora from Chennai Tamil Isai Sangam and also first prize in light classical music competitions held in 1984 by AIR.

Vijay Siva passed with distinction the Higher Grade Examination in Vocal music conducted in 1984 by the Tamil Nadu Government and Sangeet Alankar Course held by the New Delhi Gandharva Mahavidyalaya.

Youth Award for Excellence, awarded in 1995 by Maharajapuram Viswanatha Iyer Trust.
Founder secretary of the Youth classical music association, promoting young rasikas and
musicians.
Presented serial for satellite televisions on Carnatic music base.

Other Accomplishments

A stage actor and also taken part in Television plays. Acquired the Edinburghs award, the Silver Standard of the Duke. A regular blood donor. He is giving major performances and shows continuously.
